With reference to your advertisement in the “Travel&Work” I would like to contact you directly regarding a work placement. I was excited to learn that your company is arranging such placements in English-speaking-countries organisations. Therefore, I apply for a position of an information technologist in one of the Zimbabwe institutions and would like to be considered as a candidate for it.

As a worker of Jun Institute I gained experience in ‘computerized collector system’ that is widely used by information technology organizations. I completed computer modification courses at the University of León. Moreover, I have high skills in use of technical English and have kindly connections with Zimbabwe.

Nevertheless, I would like to upgrade my knowledge of business English and get financial profits that would provide my technology researches. I will be albe to undertake the job immidiately.

(b) a letter to Sheila, telling her what you have done and asking for her advice

Dear Sheila,

Thought I’d drop you a line straightaway to let you know that I’ve decided to apply for that job. At last I took the advantege of the opportunity and now I’ll meet you in your own country and work there for some time. I didn’t forget anythig to mention in my letter of application so I’m sure that we’ll meet soon.

Despite all those information in their advertisement I still don’t know anything about places to live in during my stay in Zimbabwe. Could you give me some good advice what kind of the accommodation I should choose? But wait a minute... maybe I could live with you in your tarrace house for that time, is it possible? It would be a real redemption for me, so I wish my work would be somewhere near yor home.

It would be nice of you, if you could send me those information.
