Well the article wa about having children. It explains why most people nowdays choose to have only one child. According to the author this choice is due to economic problems, including the fact that parents want to devote to their careers and they want to have more time for themselves. They don't want to spend time only and exclusively with their children, and what is more- they are afraid that they couldn't keep more that one child, A stereotype created by the psychologists says that the an only child is usually selfish, spoiled, unable to share ,manipulating the environment in order to achieve it's goal. Having only one child is associated with for example in late pregnancy and fearing the complications.
One woman which was interviewed in this article works in full-time job and she doesn't want to have more children.In consequence, this met with negative response from people which say that she should have more children and then she would be happier not wotking so much.
Another woman from the article which has one child funded her child a lot of sports and extracurricular activities. She devoted a lot of time and money but she supposes that if she would have for example three children,she would not be able to cope with this in financial terms and unfortunatelly she wouldn't have time.
People have different opinions- some people say that one child is the perfect number, others that more than one and others are happy without children, People who have a family with many children think that it brings more helpful hands ,more comfortable for parents and more productivity. Having more children is associated with the catholic faith-in the thought of God's Word: "be fruitful and multiply". Another advantage of having more children with siblings is the fact that those children can take care of their parents when they will be in their elderly. What is more when they grow up they can take care of each other in contrast to the children who have no parents after their death or person with no friends. People usually don't have more than one child and becouse of that you can say that they are selfish with fear that they will lose financial resources for their own interests such as tours, hobbies or learning. According to the research in the future number of older people will increase and accordingly those in young age are decreasing. And thus the whole population will decrease.
